PGA Jr Championship Information
About the Championship (NEPGA)—SECTION EVENT
WHEN: June 27-28, 2012
FORMAT FOR CHAMPIONSHIP: 36 hole competition
WHERE: Black Swan Country Club, Georgetown, MA
Players that qualify for the 2012 Junior PGA New England Section Championship will play in one of the following age divisions: Girls 13-15 and 16-18. Boys 13-15 and 16-18. Each gender will play from a designated set of tee markers. After successful qualification, the deadline to register is: 12:00 PM Friday June 22, 2012. All Participants are required to RSVP no later than Friday June 22 at 12:00 PM. All individuals who fail to RSVP by this time will forfeit their entrance.
The 2012 Junior PGA New England Section Championship will be a 36-hole stroke-play competition. All play will be conducted under the 2011/2012 USGA Rules of Golf supplemented by the NEPGA Local Rules and Conditions of competition. Please note there is a possibility of a cut at the conclusion of the first 18-hole round. The low-gross Boy and Girl player at the conclusion of the competition will be invited to the 2012 Junior PGA National Championship
ELIGIBILITY FOR QUALIFIERS & CHAMPIONSHIP
Players must be 13-18 years old as of August 3, 2012 have not begun college on or before August 3, 2012 to be eligible. Once a player has qualified for the Championship (NEPGA-Section, he/she must withdraw from or not play in any other qualifiers).

FORMAT FOR QUALIFIERS
The format is 18 hole stroke play. Boys will play the Championship Tees (back) and girls will play the forward tees.
Players shall compete in one of two age division at the Section Qualifiers, Boys 18 & under and Girls 18 & under. Both divisions will each play from a designated set of tee markers. To qualify, Boys must score within 10 strokes of the course rating and Girls 15 strokes of the course rating. For example, if the tee markers designated for the Boys division have a course rating of 72, the target score for 18-holes would be 82. Please note all course ratings will be rounded to the nearest tenth. For example, a course rating of 71.2 would be rounded to 71. A course rating of 69.8 would be rounded to 70. The designated tee markers, yardage and course rating for each qualifying site will be posted with the starting times for each qualifier. Please note that the New England PGA tournament committee reserves the right to modify the tournaments target score at our discretion.

The qualifiers are open to Members and Non-Members of the NEPGA Jr Tour.
Cost for qualifiers: $50 for members $65 for Non-members
Cost for PGA Jr Championship at Black Swan: $125
PGA JR CHAMPIONSHIP—NATIONAL EVENT
The winning Boy and Girl Champion from each of the 41 PGA Sections will participate in the Junior PGA Championship at Sycamore Hills GC in Ft. Wayne, IN on July 31-August 3, 2012 (NATIONAL EVENT). Section Champions are identified based on the lowest gross score in the older divisions -i.e. lowest gross score out of all 13-18 year olds. *Any junior who wishes to qualify for the Junior PGA Championship must play 36 holes from the same tees as the 16-18 year old age division and pay the same entry fee.
